23rd of September Latvian Motosport federation hosted a press conference where LaMSF prezident and all team managers gave a speech. This year Latvia have National teams in enduro, trial, quad, sidecar, motocross and SuperMoto disciplines.
It is first appearance for SuperMoto team as it will compete in SuperMoto of Nations held in 10th/11th of October in Pleven, Bulgaria. The track is very interesting because it is specialy built for SuperMoto and is 100% asphalted – including jumps, bowl turns and whoops. SuperMoto of Nations is being hosted 6th time. Team Latvia will represent vice-champion Matiss Dabols in S1 class (Husqvarna SM 450 RR), 3rd place winner Dzintars Baltais in S2 class (TM SMX 530) and Latvian Champion 2009 Miks Peleckis in Open class (KTM SMR 450). Race formula is that from 6 team results best 5 count. Our teams aim is to get in A final and gain experience for the future. Our neighbour team Estonia will participate with Edik Kuusk/Kawasaki/S1, Andre Kiil/KTM/S2 and Martin Leok/TM/Open.
