This Saturday second stage of Estonian and Latvian SuperMoto championships was held in Estonia, Rapla. Finns have started to evaluate the level of Baltic riders and all fastest athletes were there. They won the first three places.
We haven't solved question of the motorcycle yet, so at this stage Miks again had to ride with other technique. This time it was a little bit improved version of the street Husqvarna bike. No complains about the engine, but the other regulations, beginning with the suspension, ending with handlebars, were not so comfortable for Miks driving speed and style.
In this race for first time in Baltic states were used similar system like in World championship - in the morning free practise and timed practise, then qualification race and two final races.
In qualification race Miks finished in 9th place. In first start he managed to improve his position, started to fight with his rivals and crossed finish line in 8th place. Second race started similar, bet in the end of race unlucky crash resulted in only 11th place finish. 8th overall.
Miks comented : "I am not happy and not too upset about the result either. No reason to complain about motorcycle, because it was possible to ride faster. But if you put lamps and indicators - it is street legal, so quite far from race bike. The main thing for now is finding sponsors, so I could show results that I know I can show. Huge thanks to Atis Pārums from AP Motoclub - he not only rode himslf, but also managed to help me with bike."
